Privacy Policy for SwitchLink Mobile App

SwitchLink (“the App”) is developed by Green Stream Systems & Solutions (Pvt) Ltd (“we”, “our”, or “us”).

SwitchLink is a hardware-agnostic IoT dashboard application that connects directly to a user’s own Firebase Realtime Database. The App does not operate a proprietary IoT cloud server. Users retain full ownership of their IoT data within their own Firebase project.

System Architecture & Data Ownership

SwitchLink follows user-owned database:

• Users create and manage their own Firebase project.
• IoT devices connect directly to the user’s Firebase Realtime Database.
• The mobile app reads and writes data only within the user’s Firebase project.
• No SwitchLink server stores or relays IoT device data.

All IoT data is stored within the user’s Google Firebase account and governed by Google’s infrastructure and privacy policies.

Information the App Requires

To connect to your Firebase project, the App requires the following credentials:

• Firebase API Key
• Firebase Realtime Database URL
• Firebase Email
• Firebase Password

These credentials:

• Are entered manually by the user
• Are used only to authenticate with Firebase
• Are not transmitted to or stored on SwitchLink-owned servers

SwitchLink does not collect or store personal data such as:

• Location data
• Contacts
• Photos or media files
• Camera or microphone data
• Device identifiers for tracking
• Health or financial information

How Information Is Used

The provided Firebase credentials are used solely to:

• Authenticate with your Firebase account
• Access your Realtime Database
• Read sensor data
• Send control commands
• The App scans root-level database nodes to discover device names defined in your firmware

SwitchLink does not access data outside the Firebase project provided by the user.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

SwitchLink displays advertisements using Google AdMob.

AdMob may collect and process certain data automatically, including:

• Advertising identifiers
• Device information
• App usage data for ad personalization

This data is handled directly by Google in accordance with:

SwitchLink does not directly access, store, or control advertising data collected by Google.

Subscription Option (Ad Removal)

SwitchLink offers optional monthly and annual subscription plans that remove in-app advertisements.

If a user subscribes:

• Advertisements are disabled.
• No ad-related data processing occurs within the app.
• Subscription payments are processed securely via Google Play Billing.
• SwitchLink does not store credit card or payment information.

All payments and billing information are handled by Google Play under Google’s payment policies.

Data Storage

SwitchLink does not operate a proprietary backend for IoT data.

All device data remains stored in:

Google Firebase Realtime Database (user-owned)

Firebase security, storage, and authentication are governed by Google.

Users are responsible for configuring:

• Firebase Authentication
• Realtime Database Rules
• API key management

Improper configuration may expose your database.

Data Security

SwitchLink:

• Does not store Firebase credentials on external servers
• Uses secure Firebase authentication methods
• Does not transmit IoT data through third-party infrastructure

Users are responsible for safeguarding their Firebase credentials.

Children’s Privacy

SwitchLink is not intended for children under 13 years of age.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last Updated” date will reflect revisions.

Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of any updates.
